Act III - Planetary flood
ISHKUR
What is happening All-father?
YahWeh
I have decided. When Nibiru next approaches, the gravitational pull will cause massive flooding. We will not warn the humans.
NINURTA
All of them? Even the loyal workers?
YahWeh
All. This experiment ends now. "ENOUGH!"
YahWeh's voice thundered across the heavens, shaking the very foundations of creation.
YahWeh
"These Anunnaki have defiled my sacred design! They take my precious humans, formed from the clay of the earth and my divine breath, and corrupt them with their seed! Look at what abominations now walk the earth—giants who devour everything in their path, monstrosities neither of heaven nor earth! The daughters of men were not created for the pleasure of these rebellious celestials.
YahWeh
This corruption spreads like a disease through all flesh. I regret that I ever made man upon the earth, but these unholy unions have sealed their fate. The waters shall rise. Creation must be cleansed. Only the righteous shall survive what comes. My patience has reached its end!"
Book of Genesis 6:5–7 (Old Testament / Sumerian-adapted context):
“The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth,
and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
And the Lord regretted that He had made man on the earth.”
INT. ENKI'S QUARTERS - ATLANTIS - NIGHT
Enki studies astronomical charts. His face shows grave concern.
ENKI
(to himself)
The orbital calculations... the tidal forces... they don't know what they're unleashing.
Enuma Elish, Tablet I:
“When above the heavens had not yet been named,
and below the earth was not yet called by name,
chaos ruled, and destinies were not yet fixed.”
MARDUK enters.
MARDUK
Father, our spies report YahWeh/Enlil plans to use the coming celestial event to purge Earth of humans.
ENKI
I cannot allow this genocide.
MARDUK
The council has ruled. You risk everything.
ENKI
Some things are worth the risk.
EXT. SUMERIAN VILLAGE - NIGHT
Flickering torchlight casts long shadows across the walls adorned with celestial maps. ENKI, tall and regal with eyes that reflect ancient wisdom, meets with ZIUSUDRA (NOAH), a weathered but dignified human leader. They speak in hushed tones, constantly glancing toward the entrance.
ENKI (speaking quietly but urgently) Listen carefully, Ziusudra. What I am about to tell you must remain between us. The council has made their decision—a decision I cannot openly defy. But I speak to the reeds of the marsh, and perhaps the reeds may hear my words and carry them to you.
Enki moves to the window, checking to ensure they are truly alone.
ZIUSUDRA
(bowing respectfully)
I listen with both ears and an open heart, my lord. Whatever wisdom you share will not pass from my lips to another.
ENKI
(approaching closer)
The other gods have grown weary of humanity's noise, your expanding numbers. But YahWeh—he has convinced the council that complete destruction is the only answer. They plan to unleash a deluge upon the earth that will swallow all living things.
Enki's face shows conflict between loyalty to his divine kin and compassion for humanity.
Sumerian Flood Tablet (Eridu Genesis):
“Wall, wall! Reed wall, reed wall!
Enki speaks to you: Man of Shuruppak, son of Ubar-Tutu,
tear down your house, build a boat to preserve the seed of life.”
ZIUSUDRA
(alarmed)
All of us? Even the children?
ENKI
(nodding grimly)
All. Unless you heed my words precisely. Build a vessel—not a boat as you know it, but an ark, sealed against the waters from all sides.
Enki reaches into his robe and produces a clay tablet, carefully handing it to Ziusudra.
ENKI
These are the exact dimensions and specifications. The design comes from the ancient knowledge. The vessel must be perfectly constructed—six decks, divided into compartments, sealed with pitch inside and out.
Ziusudra studies the tablet with growing understanding.
ENKI
(continuing with increasing urgency)
Take your family—your sons, their wives, your own wife. Then gather specimens of all animals and plants that walk, crawl, or grow upon the earth. Two of each kind must be preserved.
ZIUSUDRA
How much time do we have, my lord?
ENKI
(looking upward)
When the new moon rises for the seventh time, and Shamash withdraws his light from the sky, the waters will rise beyond imagination. The storm god will rage for seven days and seven nights without ceasing.
Ziusudra clutches the tablet to his chest, his expression shifting from fear to determination.
ZIUSUDRA
(voice trembling slightly)
You save us? Why would you risk the wrath of the council? Why betray your own kind to preserve mine?
Enki places a hand on Ziusudra's shoulder, his eyes reflecting something ancient and paternal.
ENKI
(with deep emotion)
Because you are my children too. When we shaped humanity from clay and blood, I fought to give you wisdom, not just servitude. I argued for your potential when others saw only your flaws.
(pausing, voice lowering)
The others forget that divinity means responsibility, not just power. What glory is there in destroying what we created? What wisdom in erasing all we have taught you?
Enki moves toward the door, checking again for eavesdroppers.
ENKI
Tell no one why you build, only that you are commanded by divine vision. Work quickly, work in secret. When the time comes, I will send you a sign to enter the ark and seal it behind you.
ZIUSUDRA
(kneeling)
I will not fail you, Lord Enki. My people will remember your mercy for all generations to come.
ENKI
(with sad wisdom)
Do not thank me yet. The waters that come will change the world forever. You carry the future of all humanity in your hands now, Ziusudra. The burden is heavy, but you were chosen because your heart is just and your mind is sharp.
(turning to leave)
Remember—I never spoke these words to you. The reeds whispered them on the wind.
Enki slips away into the shadows, leaving Ziusudra clutching the tablet, the weight of humanity's survival now resting on his shoulders.
EXT. SPACE - NIBIRU APPROACHING EARTH
The massive planet Nibiru approaches Earth's orbit. Gravitational forces distort Earth's oceans.
MONTAGE - THE GREAT FLOOD
-
Massive tidal waves engulfing coastlines
-
Humans fleeing to higher ground
-
Enlil/YahWeh watching from spacecraft
-
Noah/Ziusudra's Ark riding the waters
-
Atlantis being swallowed by the ocean
Epic of Gilgamesh, Tablet XI:
“The heavens roared, the earth rumbled,
daylight was turned to darkness.
Six days and six nights the wind blew, and the flood covered the land.”
EXT. MOUNT ARARAT - DAY
SUPER: "AFTER THE DELUGE"
The waters recede. Ziusudra's ark perched on mountainside. Survivors emerge.
EXT. LANDING PLATFORM - ARARAT - DAY
YahWeh/Enlil's ship descends. He emerges, furious to find survivors.
ENLIL/YahWeh
How is this possible? None should have survived!
Enki
Steps forward, unrepentant.
ENKI
Brother, behold the resilience of what we created. Would you destroy this potential?
Epic of Gilgamesh, Tablet XI (post-flood realization):
“The gods wept with her. Their lips were parched with thirst.
They watched the survivors in silence,
hearts heavy with what had been done.”
ENLIL/YahWeh
You defied the council!
ENKI
I interpreted the council's will differently. Look at them, YahWeh. They are not just workers now. They are our legacy.
Enlil/YahWeh observes the humans - their organization, their determination, their hope.
ENLIL/YahWeh
(reluctantly)
Perhaps... perhaps there is merit in your vision. But they must never know the full truth of their origins.
EXT. SUMERIAN PLAIN - REBUILDING - DAY
Humans and Anunnaki working together to rebuild civilization.
THOTH instructs humans in writing.
THOTH Record everything. Your history, your knowledge, your understanding of the stars.
HUMAN SCRIBE
Will you stay with us forever, divine ones?
THOTH
(enigmatic smile)
Nothing is forever. One day, you will stand on your own.
EXT. GIZA PLATEAU - CONSTRUCTION SITE - DAY
SUPER: "10,000 YEARS AGO"
The Great Pyramid under construction. Advanced technology alongside human labor.
ENKI and THOTH supervise the placement of the capstone.
ENKI
This will stand as our beacon. When the time comes for our return, they will remember.
THOTH
Will they be ready?
ENKI
That is the great experiment, isn't it?
ENKI And what of humanity?
YAhWeh
They have their kingdoms now. Sumer, Egypt, Indus. We've given them tools, knowledge.
ISHTAR (INANNA)
Some have grown too dependent on us. They worship us as gods.
ENKI
A mistake we must correct before departure.
(voiceover) They will tell stories of us. Some true, most embellished. They will call us gods, demons, angels, aliens. The truth, as always, lies somewhere between.
He seals the book with a strange symbol.
THOTH
(voiceover) One day, they will reach for the stars themselves. On that day, perhaps we shall meet again as equals.
Lost Codex of the Watchers:
“When the gods departed, they left not silence —
but memory etched in stone, in blood, in stars.
And in time, memory becomes awakening.”
— From the Lost Codex of the Watchers
